During the hearing of petition 

SC Orengo:- My lordship we seek to examine the ballot boxes to confirm how widespread these illegalities were.
SC Paul Muite:- My lord CJ we have no objection to the request .
SC Ngatia : ( jumps to interject) 
My lord the counsel for second respondent has not sought our views and it is our contention that such a request is objectionable by our client. 
We request that the court adjourns for 30 minutes to enable us consult with our client. This is a monumental request that may jeopardize my client...

SC Ngatia:- My lord our position concurs with the 1st respondent. We object to this application by the petitioner.

Kilifi unveils first youth assembly, woman picked as president

  A 24-year-old woman has been sworn in as the first youth assembly president in Kilifi county in a colourful ceremony held at the Malindi Cleopatra grounds. Jacinta Mbeyu Sanga, a fourth-year law student at Kabarak University, was sworn in alongside deputy president Dennis Kazungu, together with 10 cabinet secretaries in an exercise presided over by Malindi chief magistrate Dr Julie Oseko. Kilifi speaker Jimmy Kahindi who was the chief guest at the ceremony  later oversaw the swearing-in of 35 members of the assembly from every ward. The youth assembly is unique as its mode of operation is the parliamentary system and seeks to help in the formulation of policies at the grassroots level and also nurture youth in leadership from an early age to tap various leadership talents within the society. A SECTION OF CATHOLIC Faithfuls led by Catechist Dominic Mbiu of Mbitini Parish and Jeremana Mithikwa 103 Years old are on their way to Uganda bon foot to commemorate the Uganda Martyrs. Their Journey started on Thursday 3rd May 2018 at Mwingi Good Shephered Church and ends on 1st June 2018 in Namulongo  Uganda. The Uganda Martyrs are a group of 23 Anglican and 22 Catholic converts to Christianity in the historical Kingdom  of Buganda, now part of Uganda who were executed between 31 January 1885 and 27 January 1887. They were killed on orders of Mwanga  II , (King) of Buganda. The deaths took place at a time when there was a three-way religious struggle for political influence at the Buganda royal court.
