CHARCOAL BAN by Governor Ngilu escalates as Wavinya Ndeti, Alfred Mutua, Makueni Senator Mutula, Mutahi Kahiga weigh in.


Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior has petitioned the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) to act on an incitement music directed to the Kamba community - The Senator wrote to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions to take legal action against the Kikuyu musician who composed and produced the song. Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu banned all charcoal business in the county in a bid to protect the region's forest cover.  Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waitui sued Ngilu following the torching of a lorry found transporting charcoal in Kitui County.

"The song Ikamba is offensive and a mockery to the Kamba Community. Relevant authorities must take action against Isaiah and Waharaka. We all must shun from tribalism and those who hide behind tribal cocoons to disrespect others." Wavinya Ndeti said on facebook post. Wavinya has also urged Uhuru Kenyatta to warn the people of Central from enhancing tribal war by engaging in unnecessary demeaning and mocking behaviors.  

In a joint statement, Alfred Mutua and Governor Mutahi Kahiga, agreed that The Kamba and Kikuyu communities are not only neighbors but are brothers and sisters drawn from the same ancestors hence should not be banned from conducting business in either counties. This has not been received well by majority of Kamba residents who have accused Alfred Mutua of selling out the Kamba Nation because he is married to the Kikuyu community. Kyle James as quoted in one of the facebook posts ..."This is why Mutua cant be trusted as a Kamba King pin. Mutua will employ a Kikuyu driver and leave Mutiso who is not only a qualified driver but also a neiba. we need a person who can stand for his people like Ruto, Raila and Uhuru and that person is Mutula Kilonzo jnr. hes proud and bright...."

Locals from Kiambu County staged violent demonstrations disrupting transport on the busy Naivasha-Nakuru Highway following the ban Makueni Senator Muhtula Kilonzo Junior has petitioned the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) to take action against Kikuyu musicians who produced an inciting music directed at the Kamba community.
