MACHAKOS COUNTY  speaker Florence Mwangangi trashed  Alfred Mutua's intention to retain his County Executive Committee (CEC) members. Mwangangi asked the governor to swiftly nominate and present to the assembly ten names of county ministers for approval as required by the law. She said the governor's failure to constitute a legitimate board of county executive committee members has hampered development in Machakos. The Machakos Assembly has been at the forefront in pushing for meaningful development in the county. It has reached out to the executive for mutual corporation between the two institutions, Mwangangi said. She spoke during a media breakfast meeting at a hotel in Machakos town May 2018. "We want to work with the executive in line with the law so as to serve the residents effectively," she added. HON. CAS WAVINYA NDETI LAMU VISIT FOR INSPECTION OF PROGRESS OF WORKS FOR MANDA AND MTANGAWANDA JETTIES  09/08/2020. Hon CAS accompanied by the Deputy County Commissioner, David Lusava , County Security team and SDoPW Officers led by Chief Engineer Structural Eng. H. J. N. Nyaanga are on a tour to inspect  works by the Ministry of Transport Department of Maritime and Shipping.  MANDA JETTY- MANDA AIRPORT GATEWAY .  The works comprised of demolition of the dilapidated pontoon, rehabilitation of the staircase, Construction of a ramp for people with disabilities and construction of 200m of seawall with boat anchors Manda Jetty is complete and in use. Local residents were full of praise to the government for the good work. MTANGAWANDA JETTY This is the main gateway to Pate island.
