MACHAKOS COUNTY speaker Florence Mwangangi trashed Alfred Mutua's intention to retain his County Executive Committee (CEC) members. Mwangangi asked the governor to swiftly nominate and present to the assembly ten names of county ministers for approval as required by the law. She said the governor's failure to constitute a legitimate board of county executive committee members has hampered development in Machakos. The Machakos Assembly has been at the forefront in pushing for meaningful development in the county. It has reached out to the executive for mutual corporation between the two institutions, Mwangangi said. She spoke during a media breakfast meeting at a hotel in Machakos town May 2018.
