Machakos Woman Rep Joyce Kamene’s Bodyguard Arrested after Losing Gun in Nairobi A police officer attached to Machakos Woman Representative Joyce Kamene was on Wednesday evening arrested for losing their loaded firearm. The bodyguard, Irene Kyama reported the incident at the Central Police Station, Nairobi. She told officers that she lost the browning pistol while on duty around Muindi Mbingu Street within the Central Business District (CBD). In her statement, Ms Kyama stated that she realized that the gun was missing at around 4pm. She immediately reported the incident. “She discovered her firearm make browning pistol of Serial number FN10850 loaded with 6 rounds of 9mm together with its hostel missing. ARREST WARRANT ISSUED AGAINST ROGUE ALFRED MUTUA Senate Committee on County Public Accounts and Investment has issued a warrant of arrest for Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua, for failing to appear before it for the second time, to answer audit queries. The committee chair Moses Kajwang' has asked the clerk to write to Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai to effect the arrest. The Machakos County Chief has been involved in a war of words with the County Senator Boniface Kabaka in the recent past. Governor Mutua was expected to appear before the accounts committee on Monday of which Kabaka is a member. Kajwang', however, refuted claims that the presence of Machakos Senator is malicious saying that it is his duty and right to be part of the committee. Members of Machakos County Assembly snub Wavinya Ndeti's Thanks Giving Ceremony. Members of Parliament from Ukambani on Saturday 28th September 2019  snubbed a thanks giving ceremony for KEWI Board Chair Wavinya Ndeti as the political disquiet over her appointment intensified. In an apparent protest, none of the 52 elected members of the Machakos County Assembly, the three Ukambani Senators, the three Ukambani Governors, the three Ukambani Women Reps turned up for the event at her Kinanie Home to celebrate Wavinya's appointment to the Board of Kenya Water Institute. Yesterday evening, Alfred Mutua posted on his platforms and i quote "CROOKED MACHAKOS GOVT STAFF CAUGHT RED HANDED. Public Toilets built by my Government are CLEAN & FREE. However, some corrupt county staff members have been charging Wananchi illegally & pocketing the money. Dominic Munyao Muindi (pictured in cuffs) will be charged and FIRED!"
